Hello,
It’s just a word, a greeting. Apart from one night in Istanbul when it entwined itself with this.
It was the start of a miraculous comeback, the greatest in the history of Liverpool Football Club, the European Cup final, the greatest in football history? Maybe.
Fifteen minutes after Gerrard’s header we felt that way. If you did too, this might be the place for you.
Liverpool 741 is a new blog with words and wisdom provided by two twenty-something pool fans. Seb Patrick, maverick goalie, scouser and Karl Eisenhauer, dynamic utility player, glory hunter… non-scouser.
Full introductions will follow, but for now we’re chomping at the bit to get started.
* * * * *
Our idea is to build 741 up and up. We’ll have passionate match reaction to every game. Speak from our hearts and our heads on the key news stories, sort the wheat from the chaff on transfer speculation and try to spot the stars of tomorrow from reserve and youth sides.
In addition we’ll have a host of geek-tastic articles on the club’s past and present covering everything from kit design to how to watch LFC games online.
For now,
“Hello, hello. Here we go”.
What a pair of losers.
At last a blog about one of my favourite things LFC. I look forward to reading more stuff here!
Welcome Adam.
Over the next couple of days we’ll begin looking at the current squad position by position and where we think Rafa really needs to strengthen. I’m also currently consulting my inner-motty to produce a stat-based look at next season’s fixture list.
Hope you enjoy.
Sounds good. I have been a fan of LFC for years and this blog sounds like a lot of fun!
You’ve got our name wrong in the links. It’s “Oh, It Must Be! It Is!”. NO OTHER COMBINATION IS ACCEPTABLE.
Yeah, well, you called our site “Liverpool 741″, but if you look at the title bar it’s actually just called “741″. So there.
> it’s actually just called “741″
What a stupid name.
Jonathan Capps?
Yeah I agree.
